Varde Blog Notes from the trail

Built stone by stone, to guide those who follow.

An editorial on AI adoption. Every subject is meant to be read three ways. Choose the trail that fits how you need to understand it.

The Operations Read North Plain language. What it means, and what it costs. The near approach. The plain trail up the working side, and what the climb costs your team.
Where the Two Paths Meet The Crossing Operations and engineering, in conversation. Halfway up, the two trails cross. One decision, where operations and engineering meet.
The Technical Deep Cut Corvus The build-side how, in full. The far face. The technical ascent, the full route for the people building it.

Have a Second AI Check the First

I ran the cross-model review on the pull request, then skipped it on the two rounds where I wrote the most new code. When the Session Dies: A Handoff Protocol for AI Agents

Claude Code sessions die for many reasons: compaction, restart, /clear, session-ID rotation. Each death is a context cliff. We built a handoff protocol to carry state across the seam, and tonight's session is its case study.
